The Videoscope is a portable ultrasound device designed for transrectal imaging of the prostate. This battery-operated device acquires high resolution cross-sectional images via a small probe inserted into the rectum. The 6.6 MHz linear array transabdominal probe is modestly curved to provide good imaging closer to the prostate than other devices, which can reduce radiation exposure and lower false positive rates. The Videoscope features macro, micro and zoom modes and image stabilization for improved detectability of small lesions in three dimensions.
