The Lincoln Industrial LIN84775n is a follower, universal, used to transfer guide pin motion to the cutting edge. The follower rides on the cross bars of the square guide pin and transfers linear motion to the end bearings and cutting edge(s). The material removed from the work piece is forced through the double angle gear (combination gear) in which both sides of the gear have beveled gear surfaces. They gear together by meshing teeth in order to convert the linear motion into rotary motion. This design allows for continuous cutter rotation and more accurate cutting than other followers.
